Bandwidth Allocation and Monitoring
Net One measures bandwidth consumption using the 95th percentile method. Usage is measured every ten (10) minutes during the month and the top five percent (5%) of all traffic peaks are discarded, while the remaining traffic total is utilized for billing purposes. The minimum port increment is 1Mb, with the current maximum port increment being 10Gb. The 95th percentile is the most commonly used method of measuring bandwidth utilization among data communications providers.
